ABOUT US

Asociācija “Kopā uz mērķi” was founded in Dagda, Latvia, with a simple but meaningful goal: to turn ideas into real opportunities for young people.

Our journey started through participation in various youth initiatives and international programs, where we witnessed firsthand how non-formal education, intercultural exchange, and community engagement can positively shape young people’s lives. Inspired by these experiences and their impact, we decided to formalize our work as a non-governmental organization to create broader opportunities for youth both in Latvia and across Europe.

At the heart of our work is non-formal education, learning through experience, participation, creativity, and real-life interaction rather than traditional classroom methods. We believe that some of the most important skills are developed not only through theory, but through meaningful experiences, teamwork, reflection, and active involvement in community life.

Through our activities, projects, and partnerships, we aim to:

• Support the personal and professional development of young people

• Encourage active citizenship and community participation

• Promote intercultural dialogue, inclusion, and mutual understanding

• Create practical learning experiences that strengthen leadership, teamwork, communication, and social skills

 

Our activities are open, inclusive, and accessible to all young people, regardless of their background, language, experience, or opportunities. We believe every young person deserves a space where they feel valued, supported, and encouraged to grow.

For us, youth work is not only about organizing projects, it is about creating experiences that help young people build confidence, discover their potential, and feel connected to the world around them.
