In Riga, the journey of “Find Your Tribe” is becoming deeper, more honest, and more human with every passing day. Day 2 invited participants not only to connect with others, but also to better understand themselves, their emotions, and the invisible walls that isolation can create in young people’s lives.

We began the morning with Rise & Recharge, a screen-free hour dedicated to yoga, meditation, and reflective journaling. Before diving into heavy conversations, participants were encouraged to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves in a calm and supportive atmosphere. In a world where young people are constantly surrounded by noise, notifications, and pressure, starting the day with mindfulness became an important reminder that self-awareness is the first step toward meaningful connection.

Through our daily Community Building Circle, participants continued strengthening trust within the group. These circles are slowly becoming one of the emotional cores of the project, spaces where people feel safe enough to speak openly, listen actively, and simply be themselves without fear of judgment.

The central focus of the day was the workshop “Understanding Isolation”. Together, participants explored loneliness not only as a personal feeling, but also as a growing social challenge affecting young people across Europe. Through interactive discussions and group reflections, we examined the roots of isolation, from social pressure and fear of rejection to digital disconnection and emotional insecurity. Participants also worked on identifying practical ways to create more inclusive, supportive, and emotionally aware communities around them.

After lunch, the learning became even more personal through case studies and communication-based activities. One of the most impactful sessions of the day was the “I-Statement Workshop”, where participants discovered healthier and more honest ways of expressing emotions and needs. Instead of blaming, avoiding, or speaking on behalf of others, young people practiced using phrases such as “I feel…” and “I need…”. What may sound simple at first quickly revealed itself as a powerful tool for building empathy, setting boundaries, resolving misunderstandings, and strengthening trust within a group.

This workshop highlighted an important truth: communication is not only about speaking, it is about creating emotional safety for others and ourselves.

Throughout the day, vulnerability slowly transformed into courage. Participants shared personal thoughts, listened to unfamiliar perspectives, and realized that openness can create stronger connections than perfection ever could.

We closed the evening once again with our Community Building Circle, reflecting on the emotions, realizations, and conversations that shaped the day. By the end of the session, it was clear that something meaningful is happening within this international group.

What did participants take away from Day 2?

• A deeper understanding of the causes and effects of isolation

• Practical communication tools for expressing emotions honestly

• Greater awareness of empathy, boundaries, and emotional safety

• The realization that vulnerability is not weakness, it is a bridge to connection

And perhaps the biggest impact of all: voices are becoming more confident, conversations more genuine, and the distance between strangers continues to disappear.

A real tribe is slowly taking shape in Riga.
