The day began with a Hungarian cultural breakfast, offering participants a chance to experience another country’s traditions while starting the morning together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This was followed by an outdoor energizer that helped bring everyone together. A lively game called “Erasmus Rabbit” created a cheerful and interactive start to the day, encouraging participants to connect and energize for the activities ahead.

After lunch and a short break, the programme continued with another energizer selected by the participants themselves, titled “Sun Shines On Those Who.” This activity further strengthened group dynamics and created a positive environment for the next session.

Participants were then divided into teams of five for a practical activity focused on emergency preparedness. The session began with an introduction to a standard emergency kit, allowing everyone to familiarize themselves with its essential components. Afterwards, each team researched and prepared a specific type of emergency kit, including home kits, vehicle kits, grab-and-go kits, and outdoor kits. During their presentations, teams explained the contents of their kits and shared practical safety tips that could be useful in real-life emergency situations. This activity helped raise awareness about the importance of preparedness and everyday safety.

The following session encouraged creativity and reflection. Participants worked on developing booklets and artistic pieces centred on the concept of resilience. The booklets were created both in English and in the participants’ native languages, promoting intercultural communication while allowing participants to express their ideas in a meaningful and creative way.

To conclude the day, participants worked in pairs on a session dedicated to natural disasters. Each pair researched a specific disaster and presented a short acting demonstration that illustrated both correct and incorrect responses during such situations. This engaging activity highlighted the importance of practical knowledge, preparedness, and understanding the risks associated with natural disasters.

Overall, the day combined learning, creativity, and teamwork, providing participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills related to resilience and crisis preparedness.
